About our frames

If you're not adding a mat we suggest a frame that is the same size of the photo/artwork - the lip/rabbet of the frame will cover 1/4" on each side so if that will cut off any important aspects then we will want to size up and build the frame to have an exact viewing area of the dimensions chosen. You can request and exact viewing area during checkout.

If you're adding a mat you will also want to account for that when choosing your frame size, the standard mat width is 1" to 2" and the thinnest we can go is 1/2". Please be sure to account for matting on all four sides of the piece, for example an 8x10" photo with a 1" wide mat will make the frame size 10x12".

Matting is free for frames smaller than 12x14" - this can be requested during checkout, please include the mat color and photo/art dimensions

Matting for frames that are 12x14" and larger can be purchased from the listing below.

The mat opening will overall be 1/4" smaller so that it covers 1/8" of the photo/artwork on each side, if you would like the opening cut to your exact dimensions please let us know :) Example: if your photo is 5x7" the mat opening will be 4.75x6.75".

Specialty glass is free for frames that are smaller than 12x14" - this can be requested during checkout.

Specialty plexiglass will be an additional charge for frames that are 12x14" and larger - this upgrade can be purchased from the listing below.

We carry UV resistant and non-glare glass/plexiglass. The non-glare glass also offers about ~99% UV protection but could possibly dull the colors of the photo/art.

Totally! If your frame would normally ship with plexiglass and you'd prefer regular glass just let us know during checkout. Online orders do not include art assembly but we're happy to give any tips or advice if needed :)

Most built-to-order items take 1-2 weeks to complete with the exception of our Rustic Cedar styles which only take 1-2 days.

All ready-made frames ship within 1-2 business days!

Most built-to-order frames take 1-2 weeks to complete and then shipping after that can take anywhere from 3-7 days depending on where you're located. We're in Utah so packages going to the West Coast arrive sooner than those going to the East.

If you're having a hard time deciding what frame will be best we suggest coming into our retail store where you can see everything in person and one of our awesome store members can help you find the perfect frame! We are also more than happy to help choose a color or style through email however it's important to remember that colors can vary from screen to screen.

If you're looking to stay in budget we have hundreds of ready made frames some of which are only available in our retail store. All ready made frames are discounted and can usually be taken home that same day.

Online orders do not include art assembly so this is a great option when you're looking for a simple framing solution but still want something customized to fit your needs.
