About our frames

We currently sell only Signed & Numbered frames. Signed & Numbered specializes in making mildly rustic frames that don’t try to hide the handmade part, but at the same time don’t look out of place in a gallery wall next to the shiny stuff. 

Signed & Numbered frames are built using environmentally-friendly materials. The lumber used to make these frames is mostly Poplar and some Alder, both species of trees are fast-growing and replenish themselves quickly. Also, the vintage finishes are created using high-grade water-based lacquers and either very low or zero V.O.C. paints.

In addition to being environmentally-friendly, S&N frames are good looking, very sturdy and feature a smooth finish. Each frame goes through a 6 or sometimes 7 step finish process, so each one is unique.
